I’m really surprised no one has commented on how almost every point he makes here also applies to science. Change “favorite writer” to “favorite PI” and “book” to “paper” and “make things” to “do experiments” and and and…it’s a one-to-one map. I didn’t realize how much creativity goes into math and science until well into my majors as an undergrad. We need to start teaching math the way we teach art.
